This grapefruit simple syrup is the perfect way to lightly sweeten your favorite citrus-forward cocktails and mocktails. It works especially well in palomas and comes together in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 grapefruit, peeled

Instructions

  1. Add the sugar, water and grapefruit peels to a saucepan. Heat over medium and stir often, until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat.
  2. Let stand until cool, then discard the peels and pour syrup into a small jar or other airtight container.
