I’m back at it with my annual holiday gift guide for foodies! Each year I try my best to choose a variety of items for every budget. I use and love many of these, but some are just things I’ve found when doing my own holiday shopping. Note that some of these are affiliate links which means I earn some extra cash (at no difference in price for you) if you purchase any of them.
Gold Cole 3-Tier Rolling Bar Cart
I have this bar cart and LOVE it! We get so many compliments on the gold color and it makes for a great piece of unique corner decor in a kitchen or dining room. Mine acts as storage for wine and liquor bottles, pretty glasses, a cocktail shaker, and my photography dishes and linens.
Marquette Castings 6-Qt Dutch Oven
I received this dutch oven in exchange for writing a review and I must say, it’s now one of my most-used pieces of kitchen equipment. While a dutch oven was something I always wanted, I couldn’t justify shelling out the cash for the more expensive competitor brand and honestly didn’t know there were other high-quality options. This one is a much more reasonable price and would make a great gift for anyone in your life who loves to cook like me.
Coffee mugs are always a fun gift because most people don’t go out and buy them on a routine basis. I’m a sucker for these classy clay mugs from CB2 and I’ve also seen some beautiful options at local holiday markets. Pair them with locally roasted beans or a coffee shop gift card.
This is the one cookbook I purchased this year and it sure is beautiful. The author is the Food Director at Bon Appetit magazine and I love her style and sense of humor. Each recipe includes suggestions for how to put your own spin on it if you don’t have (or can’t find) certain ingredients. It’s a great resource for anyone who wants to become more competent in the kitchen and learning to cook ‘on the fly’.
Global Amici Vino Stemless Glasses
How fun are these? When it comes to wine glasses there’s no shortage to pick from but these remind me of a quaint Italian restaurant and I just love the green color. More importantly, they’re multi-purpose and could also be used for juice or espresso at a hosted brunch. Pair these with your favorite new pinot for the wine-lover in your life.
This one might be controversial (ha!), but I’m all about the tinned fish stocking stuffers. These are fancy enough that you wouldn’t stumble upon them in your local grocery store. My favorite ways to use them: caesar salads, homemade pizzas, or on crackers for a gourmet snack.
One of the first things I would recommend to newbie cooks is buying the right “everyday” salt and keeping it in a dish on/near your stove as opposed to in a shaker or grinder. This makes it much easier to grab with your fingers so you can physically see how much you’re adding. I use a small pinch dish, but these ceramic salt cellars are way more fun and cute.
Kitchen shears can be used to make cooking quicker and easier in a multitude of ways and most of us wouldn’t go out and buy a pair ourselves. Pair them with some other small kitchen tools (citrus juicer, microplane) for a recent college grad.
I hosted an Instagram giveaway back in August in partnership with the folks over at The Anders Collective and it was a huge hit because their handcrafted charcuterie boards are insanely gorgeous. Of course I love supporting local small businesses but I would highly recommend this board as a gift for anyone who loves hosting.
These reusable silicon bags have been all the rage this year and can help cut down on one-use plastic sandwich bags if you routinely pack lunches/snacks for work. They aren’t cheap, but are high-quality, non-toxic, and dishwasher, freezer and microwave safe! I can envision stuffing one of these with a bunch of fun smaller gifts like nail polish, lip gloss, face masks and maybe a Starbucks gift card for the friend who has everything!
The Real Dill Combo 6-Pack
To close out the list, here’s another Denver local company that makes a delicious product! The Real Dill is a pickle company with all sorts of creative flavor combos like caraway garlic, habanero horseradish, and jalapeño honey! There’s also a fantastic bloody mary mix and hot sauce. This combo pack allows you to choose any six and have them shipped anywhere in the U.S. Christmas morning bloody mary anyone?
