Salted watermelon juice is the only thing I want to drink in the summer heat! This 3-ingredient recipe will cool you off and power you through all of your favorite outdoor activities. Best of all, it only takes 10 minutes to make.

It’s June and you know what that means… salted watermelon juice is back in the rotation baby! In Denver, we so quickly go from moderate spring temperatures to 100+ degree days in the summer (at least it feels that way). Sometimes I just need a little something extra to get me out the door in the morning and keep cool. This is that thing!

It’s such a special little treat that energizes me to hit the park, the pool, splash pad, wherever. Besides being fresh and hydrating, the color is vibrant and makes you feel like you’re doing something good for your body. And you are! The high water content makes watermelon an excellent choice for juices, and it’s rich in both lycopene and vitamin C. I could go on and on, but give it a try for yourself and let me know how you like it.

Salted Watermelon Juice – Just 3 Ingredients!

Even though this drink tastes really complex, you only need three ingredients to make it and you’ll have no problem finding these.

  • Watermelon, which you’ll dice into small cubes for easy blending. You won’t need to be super precise with your chop but if you cut it smaller, it will fit in the blender better.
  • Limes, which you’ll juice and add just before serving.
  • Flaky salt. Salt and watermelon are not a new combination by any means. People have been eating watermelon with salt for ages. This is because salt really brings out the flavor and sweetness of the fruit. Same concept here! The shape of flaky salt in particular has the added benefit of texture and crunch. It’s like a beautiful surprise flavor boost. If you don’t have it and/or can’t find it, you can sub any coarse salt.

If you buy one of those huge watermelons and have a hard time storing it all or eating it before it goes bad, this is a great option! Set aside 6 cups for blending into juice and you’ll be ready to make this lovely salted watermelon juice at all times.

And in case you still have trouble using it all up, here are a couple more favorites!
