This lavender lemonade cocktail is refreshing, floral and just sweet enough to be special. It’s the perfect drink to serve for all of your spring special occasions. Make it a mocktail with some easy substitutions.
In my opinion it’s just not spring until I pour myself a cold beverage and sit outside on the deck to enjoy it for the first time of the season. Whether it’s my favorite kombucha served in a fancy glass or one of my go-to mocktails, the important part is the combination of sunshine, fresh air and a patio. Just give me a patio!
This cocktail was created just in time for spring special occasions when it seems like there is so much to celebrate. Easter, Mother’s Day, graduations, showers. I just love the return of longer days and a feeling of rejuvenation. Lemonade screams “sunshine” to me and this cocktail perfectly elevates it to something fun and fancy.
Here’s what you’ll need to make this lavender lemonade cocktail:
Ingredients:
- lemonade (I like the Simply brand)
- vodka (can also sub gin, or omit altogether for a mocktail)
- lavender simple syrup
- prosecco (or sparkling water)
- lemons and/or edible flowers for garnish
Step-by-Step Instructions
The key to making a good drink at home is learning the best method for mixing it up. For this recipe, we’ll be using a shaker – I own this bar tools set from Crate and Barrel and love it. There are some unfavorable reviews but I’ve not had any issues with mine! A mason jar will work too if you don’t have a bar set.
- Shake: Add vodka, lemonade and lavender syrup to shaker with a few ice cubes. Shake vigorously until totally combined. Place the strainer on top and pour over a glass of ice.
- Add bubbles: Top with prosecco or sparkling water
- Garnish: add lemon slices and/or edible flowers
FAQs
Absolutely – just skip the vodka and replace the prosecco with your favorite NA bubbly drink (like club soda, seltzer or Topo Chico).
My recipe for lavender simple syrup is linked in the recipe card below. That post also outlines everything you need to know about lavender including where to buy it. You may be able to find the syrup in some speciality home/grocery stores, but your best bet is making it at home.
I don’t find this to be overly sweet, but if you want to reduce the sweetness more, you can cut back on the amount of lavender syrup and also the amount of lemonade.

I made this as a mocktail and I think the Prosecco would make it better, so I’ll have to try it that way too. I love the lemonade and lavender flavor combo.

The prosecco definitely makes it special-occasion worthy!

I made this cocktail when we had family visiting. Always so fun to have a “signature” cocktail for guests and this one was so light and refreshing.

This cocktail is so good! Light and refreshing with just the right amount of bubbles from the Prosecco. I made it on Easter and it was perfect.
