Prosciutto Pear Flatbread is a 15-minute appetizer that everyone will love! Juicy pears, salty prosciutto and funky gorgonzola cheese team up for the most delicious combination. Cut it into thin strips and serve it as finger food at upcoming holiday parties. I promise no slice will be left behind!
Is there anything better than an appetizer meal? You know, like at a party when there’s just an epic spread of snacks that doubles as dinner.
But I’m not talking chips and dip here, I want something a little bit more thought-out and festive. Especially around the holidays. In my quest to be the queen of party food, I made you these pear gorgonzola flatbreads and they are pretty much my new favorite thing. Because every night can become a party when there’s prosciutto involved am I right?
Ingredients
- Naan or other favorite store-bought flatbread. I used Stonefire and found the mini size at Costco!
- Pear – I prefer red for this recipe, but regular pears will work too.
- Prosciutto for something salty (and just plain delicious)
- Gorgonzola & mozzarella cheeses
- Walnuts, which get all roasty and toasty in the oven. Just perfection.
- Fresh rosemary for color and because it pairs so amazingly.
- other cooking staples like olive oil, garlic and black pepper
Why Flatbread is the Best
Flatbread style pizzas are the BEST because they come together in less than 15 minutes. Since the crust doesn’t need to cook, you’re essentially just warming everything up and getting that cheese all nice and bubbly.
You can also use up anything you have in your fridge for the toppings. Have a sad onion on the counter? Caramelize it and make that your base. Kale wilting away in the fridge? That works great too.
Steps to Making this Prosciutto Pear Flatbread
Step 1: Brush with oil
The first step is brushing these adorable little things with an (infused!) oil because again, we’re getting fancy here. Grated garlic and black pepper take plain old olive oil to another level.
Step 2: Layer on the toppings
I tried it a few different ways and I prefer the order listed in the recipe card. I think it works best when the cheese is covering the other items so nothing burns, but it does look prettier with the prosciutto on top.
Aren’t these so fun?
Step 3: Bake until bubbly
After just 8 minutes in the oven, the cheese is perfectly melted and the crust is golden brown. Give it a few minutes to cool before cutting so the toppings hold. Garnish with extra rosemary to make it extra festive, and some balsamic glaze is always a good idea if you have it.
Are you picturing yourself enjoying this with a glass of cold champagne?
I would honestly enjoy it for any meal of the day. Brunch, lunch, happy hour, dinner, late-night snack. It just WORKS you guys.
I can see myself making these approximately 27 times over the next month, how about you? Simple, flavorful and “easy fancy”.

- For the naan I used Stonefire brand, which I got in a big pack from Costco. I keep it in the freezer until I need it! If you can’t find the smaller size, use all of these ingredients to make two bigger flatbreads instead of four small.
