This creamy and delicious strawberry banana peanut butter smoothie requires just four ingredients and comes together fast for a balanced and tasty meal or snack on the go.
Ok you guys, it’s smoothie time!
This one is so incredibly simple. No obscure ingredients, or hard-to-find “superfoods”. These are things I always have on hand and after trying this, I think you might too.
Don’t pass because it’s easy though, the flavors are so on point!
Strawberry Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie Ingredients
Here’s what you need to make this (incredibly) simple and healthy smoothie:
- Frozen banana – Frozen bananas lend a creaminess that’s hard to match in smoothies and also keep this super cold without ice (which could water it down). Peel and freeze brown bananas in a gallon size zip top bag so you’ll always have them ready.
- Strawberries – these can be fresh or frozen.
- Peanut butter – I use natural, unsweetened (the kind you have to stir)
- Milk of choice – vanilla soy adds a slight sweetness and thickness that I love! If you use an unsweetened milk, just add a drizzle of maple syrup to sweeten it up.
- Cinnamon: for an extra punch of flavor, feel free to add a shake or two of cinnamon.
Add everything to a blender and voila! Creamy, dreamy smoothie perfection. This is really easy to scale too, so I often double it for my family of three.
Smoothie FAQs
First use less liquid. Second, use frozen banana instead of ice so it doesn’t get watered down. My smoothie bowls (like this sunshine bowl or my peanut butter acai bowl) are made extra thick so you can eat them with a spoon so check those out too.
You can, but if you use an unsweetened milk it might need to add a little maple syrup. I think it’s definitely worth buying the vanilla soy for this one for optimal taste and texture.
I recently won a Vitamix (the exact model is linked in the recipe card below) and I am OBSESSED. I never believed the hype about these until I got one for myself. It’s very powerful and won’t leave any chunks behind. Plus it’s way easier to clean than my old Ninja, which had a weird vertical blade.
If you’re feeling extra fancy, you can serve this up in a fancy glass and finish with a healthy drizzle of peanut butter. I love the fun presentation of this!
This smoothie is definitely one of my go-to combinations and has major PB&J vibes. Who wouldn’t be a fan of that, right?

This is hands-down my favorite smoothie! I make it several times a week for breakfast, usually adding a scoop of protein powder. It’s also good with blueberries, cherries or raspberries in place of strawberries.
